I agree and disagree. I mainly agree that it would be fine. I mean wasn't Naveen mixed? I just don't think they should make it a focal point of the movie. Just have it and go on with it?

I think a mixed race princess would be good depending on how it is executed.

There is an Asian princess, Native American princess, a few European princesses, an African American princess, and an Arabian princess. But what about an Hispanic or Latin princess? I think there are still some other races that would be made before or after a mixed race princess.

They show already mixed race couples (Pocahontas and John smith, Tiana and Naveen), and Tiana is African American is not totally african so can count like a mixed race. And about the hispanic princess. I´m of Spain and I feel represented with the european ones, Spain is of Europe, we are already represented.

We haven't had a Latin princess yet last time I checked, so if they do make one I think that one's next on the agenda. But it would be cool to have a mixed race princess, just not the focal point of the movie.

@ LaSalvatore Tiana is not mixed ...both her parents are black and I don't believe either are actually from Africa....African American is just a more polite way to say Black in America... Tiana is American, but American is not a race....she is a black person...that is her race and she is a full blooded black person since both her parents are black...mixed would be a child with parents from two different races (a white mother/black father...Asian father/black mother...hispanic father/Asian mother...ect.)

@starlight77 why do you think Naveen is mixed? His Parents looked to be of Spanish decent like him...

It might be interesting to see a Princess from a more diverse background (what about an Irish mother and a Asian Father or a Asian mother and a African Father or ect.)....but none of that matters if the movies plot is crud and the character sucks.

SweetPea be hispanic is not a race, I am caucasian mi mather has blonde hair. I am european, I am caucasian, the spanish people is not a race. Second Tiana is not black in my country don´t count like that, I am very interested in the history of the african american in the USA (I have a friend that is african american and lives in Spain) and for I know the woman that come for Africa were raped by their owners and from there come something that in Spain is called by the word ``mulato´´, so for Spain Tiana isn´t black is ´´mulata´´, mixure of white people and black people, her mother is to white for have just black blood and Naveen is not spanish not seen spanish, in Spain we consider him be indian or arabic with a culture european like the Sha of Persia of Iran that live in the past century, in Spain is impossible find a man that looks like Naveen. Sorry for my bad english.

I'd just love to see a princess who "have never really belonged anywhere".

@LaSalvatore, there are fair skinned black people. Just because they are a lighter black doesn't mean they aren't all black. Black people I know range from chocolate to fair to black black and they have both black parents and past grandparents are black too. (I'm not trying to be mean or not use proper terminology, just trying to use the simplest language to explain.)

I was saying a princess from South America or Centeral America would be good. Or an Australian princess, from down under would be cool. I don't think any of the princesses (from the line-up) are from Spain but because there are so many European princesses I don't think there needs to be one for every country.
