I enjoy Lesen everyone else's, so I thought I'd make my own. :)
Here are my Favorit (and least favorite) Disney princesses!
10) Mulan
My biggest grievance against Mulan is not really the character, but the performance. Most of the time, Mulan is monotone and expressionless, making her a vague and only relatively appealing character. I like how strong she is and I enjoy her toughness, and I like the movie as a whole, but Mulan as a character is too dull and flat to intrigue me as much as some of the other princesses.
9) Pocahontas
Similar to Mulan, Pocahontas is a character that was intended to have Mehr gravity and Mehr depth than she actually ended up with. Her name actually means "little mischief," and I wish Disney had made her Mehr playful (think a Mehr mature version of Ariel) and a little less earthy and spiritual. I know they tried to make her "mischievous," but watching her frolic in the pond with Nakoma hardly counts, in my head. However, she is exceptionally beautiful, and to this Tag I'm dying to have long, straight Pocahontas hair. :)
8) Aurora
Just like the other Aurora haters, I think Aurora's main problem is that she's dull and isn't even really the star, sterne of her own movie. I know nothing about her, aside from the fact that's she's over-sheltered and sweet. She's also a pretty passive player in her own existence, and unlike other passive princesses, it kind of bothers me. That said, she is extraordinarly pretty, and I Liebe her long, willowy design.
7) Jasmine
I Liebe Jasmine's Design and I like that she's the first princess with any real bite to her, but she irks me at times. Her voice is a little too "princessy" to appeal to my taste, and her spoiled, entitled attitude at times irritates me after a while. However, I give her a lot of credit for being fiery and exotic.
6) Tiana
It's about time Disney made a princess who is African American, and it's even closer to time that Disney made a princess with a work ethic. Tiana filled both of those roles well, and she's a nice character with a great Singen voice. That said, she spends most of the movie as a frog and she is a bit one dimensional (she talks about working hard and being a hard worker constantly,), but she's still a great addition to Disney's princess pantheon.
5) Snow White
I Liebe Snow White, if only for nostalgic reasons. Snow White was my Favorit princess as a child (I even wore a Snow White kleid on my first trip to Disney World,) and as much as she is passive, over-prissy and too sweet and naive for her own good, she's still the very first Disney Princess ever, and deserves Mehr credit than she gets, if only for that reason.
4) Rapunzel
I enjoy Rapunzel because of how different she is from other princesses. Does she harp about dreams all the time? Yes. Is she another princess who spends her time dreaming of a life different than her own? Yes. But she's also kind of neurotic and even a little spastic about things. She's girly, smart, and even kind of silly, which I enjoy. She's a princess who understands fun and curiousity, like the Liebe child of Ariel and Alice in Wonderland.
3) Cinderella
To me, Aschenputtel is the classic princess. She's spirited, but not modernly so, witty, but not contemporary, and romantic but not needy. It's a classic story told in a timeless way, and for me, Aschenputtel will always be the epitome of of a Disney Princess.
2) Belle
Disney's modern, feminist princess, Belle would be my Favorit if my number one weren't so darn nostalgic to me. I have always loved Belle, but as I get older, I appreciate her intelligene, her wit, her determination, and her Liebe of Bücher rather than just her great voice and her pretty dress. Belle is truly a landmark in Disney Princess history and remains the best role model for young girls, in my opinion.
1) Ariel
Despite all the negative (and true) things sagte about her, I just can't get past my Liebe of Ariel. She's reckless, impulsive, sweet, and naive, and yet takes an active interest in her own existence and her own future. Besides, she's a mermaid. That's awesome. :)
So there Du have it! Hope Du enjoyed my list!
