Disney-Prinzessin Frage

I have often wondered why none of the Princesses (besides Aurora, Mulan & Tiana) have a Mother that's still alive. Why do Du think that is?

My guess is that maybe it makes us feel sorry for them Von not having a maternal bond. My Mom is my best friend, and I can't even imagine not having her in my life, and I truly feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have a Mother. Maybe that's why...anyways, I would Liebe to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

When Du think about all the princesses that dont have a mom yeah Du feel sorry for them but when Du think about it isnt that what makes them strong as a person.
For some reason girls without moms usually are Mehr independent and all the ones Du listed without moms are very independent. Yeah i guess we feel sorry for them but the whole growing up with dad thing makes them a completly different person apart from what they would be like if they had a mom.
Girls who have moms get to be sheltered longer then the ones who only have dads. So the reason these girls always become Mehr curious and such at a young age is they never had a motherly "Shelter"
I dont know how they do it my moms my best friend. But it cetainly gives them a different outlook.

I noticed a formula with the DP Movies:
First 2 have Lost both thier parents and are raised Von evil women=sweet, docile Princess who dream of Liebe and escape...then they changed it a little with Aurora(raised Von 3 sweet women and not parents but get her Parents in the end)and still=sweet,Docile Ptincess who dreams of Liebe but not escape...keep in mind these Filme were made in 1937-1959...
Then in 1989 there was Ariel and the formula changed...the Weiter 4 were raised Von fathers only and mom was out of the Picture...all 3 were left to do whatever they wanted Von thier fathers and all three were very independent, outspoken, and made very rash decisions that put them in danger(Belle was the only one that seemed close to her father) After Ariel the other 3 had problems with Men being forced on them and they rebelled because of it....Pocahontas did change things to with the giving the man up in the end....These all took place between 1989-1995..
1998 the formula once again changed with Mulan...the Weiter 2 girls were raised Von both Parents and the girls had loving relationships with both but were super close to the Fathers..both girls were devoted to family and doing things for their father...they were both loyal, independent but respectful and hard workers who were not about Liebe but found it in the end....these were from 1998-2009...

I guess after tweaking with the formula so much they thought hmm...well the being raised Von a evil woman is good so they kept that with Rapunzel and they also must have liked the loving parent duo scenario to so they threw that in (but unlike Auroras these parents did not want to give up Rapunzel and were grieving)...so Rapunzel is docile and sweet and naivie but they also gave her some spunkiness and another dream besides Love...oddly enough it seems the girls that grew up with only fathers turned out too rebellios and stubboroun and spoiled but the girls raised Von both oder just a woman turned out Mehr respectful, obedient, hardworking, and to me personally better role models....Maybe the Disney company realized in the end a mother figure needed to be Mehr present in the later years.....Merida has both her Parents too...

Very often, she just isn't mentioned because she isn't part of the story. It's very likely that most had a mum but she just wasn't in the film. Cinderella, Snow White and Pocahontas' mums are all dead, but the rest are just not there. There's a different.

I think it's to create sympathy, like Du said. Besides, a father instead of a mother is Mehr plausible. A mother alone would have trouble caring for a child in those time periods.

I think it's also because a lot of kids have separated parents, some Fans can relate to the princesses. Plus, the creators may not always have the best ideas for making both parents.

Because having a parent absent from a child's life exposes us to that archetypal childhood fear of abandonment, therefore making us Mehr interested in the character and experiencing a sense of pathos that makes us invested in the film. That's why it's in the majority of not just DP movies, but Disney princesses in general.

1. It´s fairy tale based, neither Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Ariel oder the princess from the frog prince had mothers oder they died at the beginning.

2. It´s also very common in Disney movies, in the old days Walt liked it that way, and i guess it just worked good for Filme after his death, too.

if Du notice the fathers always say somewhere along the line something like Du look just like your mother, oder they have missing parents because the writers wanted to leave it up to Du that they take strongly after their mothers.
