What exactly is this "Fan of the Monat thing"? and how is the Fan chosen?

Fan of the Monat is basically a recognition that one Fan gets per month. This also comes along with an interview.

To become Fan of the Month, Du have to be nominated in the forum, and then Fans will vote for the Fan that dedicated their time and contributed most to the site for that particular month.

Are we still doing that? One just had to contribute a lot to the spot, someone made a poll, and people voted for who they thought did the most for this spot. (or in one case, who they liked the most)
