"Miss Queen...Miss Queen!"

I blinked and looked up at my teacher, who was towering over me and scowling.

"Miss Queen, where's your homework?"

"...Oh! Umm," I went through my bookbag and pulled out the math worksheet, "here," I held it out to her. She snatched it out of my hand, "next time get your head out of the clouds and focus on school!" she stormed up to the front of the class, to her desk.

The other kids snickered and I shrunk down in my chair. That was embarrassing...I got out my book and began reading...I must've read the period away cause Von the time I finished the chapter, the glocke rang.




I was at my locker when I heard someone yell, "Quater!" I looked over and saw my friend, Rose Rosemary, running torward me. I smiled at her, "hey Rose."

"Quater, your not gonna believe what I heard!"

"What?"

Rose grinned at me, "Jake's gonna ask Du out!"

I blinked, "r-really..?"

"Yes! Beth told me she overheard him talking about it with his buddies!"

I blushed a light pink. I've had a crush on Jake since Sekunde grade. And now there was a chance I could be going out with him...

Rose giggled, "oh my gosh I'm so excited for you! Before your first datum your going to have to let me comeover to help Du pick out an outfit."

"We don't even know if it's the real deal yet. Du know how Beth lies..."

"Yeah I suppose your right..." Rose seemed a bit disapointed then she brightened back up, "well come on lets go to lunch!"

I giggled at her sudden perkiness then followed her to the cafetiria. Yep, just another Tag at Richwood Middle School.
