Why Can't I Stop Visiting the C.A.T. Spot?

Ever since its Kürzlich creation I have not been able to stop visiting this spot (Not that it's a problem...haha). I decided to sit down and ponder and from my pondering came this list.

1. Everybody rates EVERYTHING.
I mean EVERYTHING. Nothing goes unrated and everyone always rates fairly.

2. The Foren are always buzzing.
I absolutely Liebe visiting the forums. Someone is always there looking to chat and the Kommentare are sure to put a smile on my face.

3. I can have intelligent and enjoyable conversations
I don't feel like I talk to someone and all they have to say is, "OMG Du Liebe (insert some fandom here) too?!! We should like totally be best friends. Isn't (insert actor/actress name here) so HOT!?!?!"

4. The content is always quality. Always.
I check out almost everything on this spot. Links, videos, images, Du name it. I am never disappointed and I have a hard time not putting it all in my favorites!

5. No one worries about getting a medal.
No one uploads a million Icons oder adds Videos just for the purpose of getting those shiny medals. Yes, I know, they are nice but they aren't something anyone here worries about. All of the content added is added so that other Kätzchen may enjoy it, not for them to get a medal.

6. It's not the Twilight Spot, haha
I'll be honest. The Twilight spot scares me a little bit. With the CAT spot I have somewhere to go to get away from all of the craziness. Oh, and I don't have to read about how Edward Cullen is sooooo dreammyyy every other sentence.

7. The Kätzchen are Kind
As cheesy as this may sound, everyone here is just so nice! I would like to think that I have made some Friends on this spot. I feel like I have finally branched out on Fanpop and have begun to enjoy all it has to offer.

8. Twilight Fan oder not, Du are welcome
Like Twilight? Dislike Twilight? It doesn’t matter. There is no discrimination oder hatred toward either group. I was worried when this spot was started that there might be some fights but that is no longer a concern. In my opinion this is one of the most peaceful spots on Fanpop.

I’m sure that I am forgetting Mehr of my reasons. When they finally decide to pop into my brain, I will Bearbeiten the Artikel and add them. Thanks Kittens!

spikes_girl I agree with everything on this list! Especially the part about everyone being so friendly :) I've never been a part of a spot that really feels as welcoming as this one.

Dearheart Oh gosh, I got so many warm fuzzy feelings from reading this, it's ridiculous. XDD I had NO idea when I first made this spot that it would grow so fast or work out so well. All of you kittens are so wonderful; thanks for making the CAT what it is. <3 I think one of the reasons why this spot is so active and friendly is because it's a good mixture of fan and fandom, so to speak. It's not so much about the Twilight phenomenon as it is about the people behind it; it's about connecting and listening to each other and having fun. The CAT's not quite a fandom spot, and it's not quite a fanpop-centered spot, either...it's a blend of both, and that makes it special and unique from most other spots. That's just me thinking out loud, though. XD Anywho...you're awesomesauce, Laureng114. Thanks for this great soapbox; it's brightened my day. Er, night. =D

Myf_1992 Evryone is so nice, I agree! And I love the CAT HQ and all its madness, I'd like to think I've made friends. And I love this spot coz nobody truly care about twilight, I mean yer some of the fans can be irratating, but most of the time its all just a laugh. Nothing is overly serious here, so you feel like you can relax and go "aaaahhhhhhhh"(that was my attempt at a sigh). As spikes_girl says, its a very welcoming spot. so kutos to dearheart (momcat).

Myf_1992 Well I thought, seeing as she made this spot, and I've always seen her as a kinda loving auntie figure bcoz of her icon and coz well shes lovely, i thought momcat was befitting of her. plus there was this whole joke in HQ coz some kittens were getting high off catnip (caugh not me caugh) and i found a lolcat pic which said "momcat found your stash", and came up with dearheart as our momcat. you probably didnt need to know that...but its a kinda fun story.

The Critical Analysis of Twilight spot has always been controversial. Twilight Fans frequently Berichten distaste with the spot, thinking it’s a hate spot. Alex reads Twilight

On this beautiful spot of fanpop, there's a video link to "Charlie reads Twilight". Originally its "Alex read Twilight". Anyways, I checked it out.
It's this guy, he's about 20 years old I'd say, and he bought himself a copy of Twilight. He reads this on camera, making his comments, one chapter per video. And he's absolutely HILARIOUS! He points out things like odd phrases ("the sun was at the wrong place in the sky") and grammar faults. He sees little things Du might not have found yourself.
The Videos do contain a bit of swearing but other then that, they are mostly all right.

Well, I'm a Twilight fan, but I like to be critical of the series anyways. But recently, I discovered that a lot of the Twi-hater fanbase (or hatebase?) has been consisted of mostly people who have only seen the movies, and I instantly saw how there were so many Twi-haters.

How Twilight could have been Great.

I don't like Twilight. I find the characters shallow; the plot boring and cliche; and the hidden messages frightening. But in the hands of another Autor - someone who wouldn't let their religious upbringing, their misogynistic views, and their twisted romantic ideals colour the story - it could have been really fantastic.

First off, the grammar would have to be fixed. The purple prose minimised and the insgesamt Schreiben polished up.

Next the characters would have to be made realistic, their actions have an effect on the plot, and their history an effect on them.

Take Rosalie, for example. If Rosalie's...

Lauren: A Mini-Rant

Lauren, Lauren, Lauren, Lauren. She's the blond girl in twilight. The one tricked Von a modeling scam, the one that hates Bella. We first meet Lauren in the cafeteria, I believe. Almost all Twilight Fans do not like her. I mean no disrespect to the ones on this spot oder any others, but I do not think she has a reason to be hated. There are some core things about the mythical creatures I wish Meyer would have gegeben an actual explaination for:

Vampires

1. Turning into bats

She could have explained it as bats are attracted to vampires, but she choose not to adress it at all.

2. Sleeping in a coffin

How about that having something to do with them faking their own death oder something?

3. Lack of Fangs

An evolution over time to adapt.

4. Sunlight

Related to the fact Vampire are considered to be connected to the devil.

Werewolves

1. Full-Moon

They meet at the full-moon.

2. Their Anger Issues (yes, I know that some of the Wölfe have this)

It could have been explained as a reaction to the moons phases.

I'm so glad to have found a spot that isn't full of people gushing over how hot Robert Pattinson is. Since the movie came out, the original idea of the series has deteriorated.

I used to feel proud to call myself a 'Twilight' fan. I first read it in 2005, and to be quite honest I loved how nobody had read it, it seemed really special. So called 'Fans' who now go around using the word 'Twilighter' just because they have seen the film have ruined it for everyone else.

Fair enough, it's nobodies fault it has been made into an overated hyped movie, but if they really understood what it meant before...
