I'm sick of it. I believe in God and in Jesus, and that's final. She just don't understand that...

Don't misunderstand me, God would want you to be humble and honor your parents and their is a reason why you still with your mother. Just stay prayed up, be respectful but firm in your faith. She may not believe in your faith because she hasn't seen a true honest Christian, it may be your burden to show her Christ through your actions.
She is your mother, she will do what she thinks is best for you, but as a Christian it is your job to show her a Christ-like lifestyle. Abram lived with pagan parents most of his life before God sent him out of it, so just stay prayed up and keep the faith but again be respectful to your mother.

That should just strengthen your faith, in fact. Consider it a test from our Lord... will you be able to keep your faith AND still honor your mother as you should?

She's not forcing you to do anything, is she? You're just learning about a religion other than yours, and that's okay. It's like the whole "teaching evolution in schools" thing. It doesn't mean you have to believe it, it just means you've learnt something, and that's always good.

Understanding your mom's religion doesn't have to bring you further away from Jesus; it could bring you closer to him and make you closer to your mom, making her more comfortable with you sharing back with her. Tough situation, I hope you can grow through it. :]

It's ok to teach a religion, but you have every right to refuse if she forces you to convert.

It's no more wrong that the thousands of parents who force their children to go to Christian church every Sunday. Just accept it as an irritating but unavoidable part of life under a parent's roof.

Learning about other religions is a good thing. It can help you strengthen your faith and defend it. You can't argue against something you aren't informed about, can you?
As long as she's not forcing anything on you, it's all good. Just stay strong in God :)

As long as she isn't forcing her beliefs upon you, I don't see what's wrong in trying to understand more about your mother.

It's never wrong to share you're beliefs with the people you love. Your mother isn't trying to convert you, she's trying to explain her beliefs so you'll better understand her. And she's probably opening the door for you to share yours with her, too.

I have participated in Iftars, Bar mitzfas, Easter dinners, and even just recently I participated in an Ethiopian Orthodox Meskel festival, which celebrates the discovery of the Ark of the Covenant. I have also fasted and given up things for both Ramadan and Lent.

I always encourage sharing different beliefs, especially religious celebrations, with different people. It promotes understanding, tolerance, and love. :)

What happened to the poll you posted in the Paganism spot?

Also, I really like how you have religion in quotation marks, giving the impression (...again), that you don't think her beliefs are actually valid.

No three is nothing wrong, it's all good. Just as long as you remain true to your Christian believes, then I don't see the problem.

It's a test from God. It's okay if she does not force it on you. Like, back in the schooling days, we learned about Judaism and Islam and Buddhism and all that, but here's how I keep that in check: make it into facts. That's how I treat the evolution theory. I just understand that people believe in that but I don't and that is fine, but I don't get into it.
