ponyboyjohnny interesting point cinders, also ifnd it weird that the bible mentions homosexuality, and male bisexuality but it doesn't mention women homosexuality, and bisexuality. I wonder what god views them. also i'm not for gay marriage but i don't have issues with gay people, i just think that marriage is a spiritual union between a man and woman that believes in god and christ.If a couple is non- christian, or gay: why should they bother getting married since the only purpose of marriage is to get a spiritual union, and because of that i think that gays and non-christian couples should just live together, and be bf/gf, bf/bf etc. I don't know if i worded my opinion correctly, but if you guys don't get what i'm saying don't hesitate to ask.

Cinders That's a logical opinion, but marriage today carries many legal definitions as well, including legal benefits. That's why several people want to get married. Would you begrudge them that? Also - just because a person is gay does not mean that person isn't spiritual, or religious.

K5-HOWL What annoys me is thinking that someday a gay man who belives fully in your God will be not allowed to marry because of his sexualitly, but a man who is completly against God or doesnt beleive in God, will be allowed to. The other scary thought is that songs that are horrible with no meaning, when im 60 will be classics *winces*

ponyboyjohnny i know it has legal definitions but masnkind made something legal out of it. to me marriage is seperate from human law. I know that some gay are religous, but the religous ones are sually christian, jeweish, or muslim, they believe in other religons that accept homosexuality in their doctrine

Cinders There are Christian gays who don't believe that their sexual orientation is wrong by the Christian God. That's not a different religion, just a different perspective on the same religion. But my point is, that it's the legal benefits that people want when they get married, in addition to expressing their love for each other, often in a spiritual fashion. You don't have to be straight or even Christian to be spiritual. And marriage was originally a legal contract, that became a religious one. It used to have to do with the exchange of property (woman for land/goods). Marriage also exists across several religions. Hindu marriage, Jewish Marriage, Muslim marriage - even Buddhist marriage. It's not a Christian monopoly.

DestinyGirl Well, I agree with everything Cinders said, because I am a Christian and full believer of God and Christ Jesus. I've never really thought much on the whole issue with if Homosexuality is wrong and stuff. But I do feel in my heart 100% that it is wrong. I was watching the show called Degrassi the other day and saw one of the newest episodes of Riley, where he doesn't want to be gay, but he is. And, I don't know, when I see a Homosexuality couple all I can see is wrongdoing and that Satan has made their minds believe that what their doing is okay. After all, why would God make you supposedly Gay when it's against His principles? But again, I'm just saying that in my heart I feel that it's wrong. And if people on here get mad at me for saying all of this then so be it, I won't be affected by it because I know what's right in my heart and I will put my trust in the Lord that he will continue to guide me!:)

K5-HOWL If your God is so powerful, wouldnt he have not created Humans in the first place? If I were God I would make it so Humans never existed. Wouldnt he have stopped that sort of things from happening?

Dearheart That's the point. You are [i]not[/i] God. You are human, and I am human...tiny specks in a vast universe. If God is so great and powerful, then how can we possibly expect to understand everything about Him or know exactly why He does things? Our minds are [i]tiny[/i]; there are mysteries out there we can't even begin to comprehend. Even if God tried to explain it all to us, in the words of Cinders, "it'd be like trying to explain quantum physics to an ant". So saying things like "if I were God" doesn't really mean anything, because we're trapped in the human limits of Time and Space and it's all we're able to understand. As for your question on why God would create us if He knew these things would happen...this is my personal opinion as someone who loves being creative: God is a Creator. And creators create things. Why? Because they love it and it's who they are. That's why He created us. But it doesn't stop there. An artist loves his art, but that's not the only love He feels for us. Think of every love we know here on Earth - artist/art, parent/child, husband/wife, king/subject, etc - and roll them all up into one. That's how God loves us. And when you love someone, usually you want them to love you back, right? God wanted us to love Him back, but He didn't want to force us to or make us want to, because that wouldn't be real love. We'd be a bunch of robots. So He decided to give us Free Will, even though He knew what the consequences would be. And that's why these sorts of things happen. We made the choice to sin and to turn away from Him, and He respected that choice. We messed things up, not Him.

K5-HOWL God created many other species that derserve to live, not to be killed for things humans dont need. I find humans pathetic low-lives, and I hope they all die :3

Dearheart Well, okay then. I don't see the point in calling yourself a "low-life" and hoping for your own death instead of trying to rise above that, use His creation responsibly and help others to do the same...but if that's all you're going for, so be it. I do find it pretty sad, though.

SouthParkSmart Wow, my opinion has changed a lot since I last commented on this. I've been researching homosexuality and the Bible, and I completely agree with this article now. Leviticus 18:22, as mentioned earlier, can also be interpreted as a three-way, if you think about it! I believe sexuality isn't a choice, and why would God make gay people just to forbid them from being gay?

K5-HOWL ^Exactly! I read some of the bible and it said God chooses who we are, chooses who are mate in life is! So saying Homo's are wrong, its the same as saying other things in the bible are wrong!
