He tells Du that he needs you, that he's sorry for all the pain he's caused Du over the years.

"Why now Lucas?" Du have to know why he would choose today of all days to confess that he still loves you. "Why did Du have to wait until today?"

"I know the timing sucks Brooke," He lets out a bitter little laugh. "It always does with us doesn't it?"

You can't think of a proper response so Du just nod your head slightly. It's true, timing has never been a specialty of your relationship with him.
