“I can’t believe we just did that,” Bones said. “We should really go back and pay for our drinks.”
“That would defeat the purpose,” Booth sagte as he pulled away from the curb. “Remember, we’re developing your frontal lobe.”
Bones could barely contain a fit of giggles. It felt good to laugh. It seemed she had done so less and less often lately. The only times she smiled was when Booth was with her.
Bones’ herz still raced, even after they were miles away from the bar. Sure, she knew it was dishonest, but it still excited her to do something she knew was wrong.
