when we left off in chapter one we found out that blake has something planed for alex but does she have what it takes to escape before it is too late. read to find out.

Chapter two

As we walked down a long never-ending hallway. I decided I wanted answers. So where are we going I asked Blake? Do Du want to stay in that white room? No I replied. We came to a stop. And he handed me a key. Then here we are this is where Du will be staying. Go ahead do the honors.
I put the key in the lock and twisted it. Grabbed the handle and opened the door. I am not going to lie the room was beyond cool. First off it was huge like two apartments big. And there was a king-sized bed, a walk in closest full of clothes and a küche filled with snacks. But what I found odd was half of it was for life and the other half was filled with papers, computers and pretty much a room with any and all technology known to man.

Let me guess that is what Du want be to sort out for you? Not exactly but close. We walked in the world of tecno geek. What I need form Du is to unlock your father’s computer and all it’s secrets. What is so important on there that you...

Hey guys I'm Schreiben a story for a project and I want to know what Du guys think of what I have so far feel free to leave Kommentare oder suggestions.

When I was a little girl my dad suddenly left. I remember being really close to him. Sometimes he would act strange though. Like he never stayed in one place long and was always looking behind him like he thought someone was following him. And one Tag he sagte he had to go for a little while, and he never came back. He was the best father I could ask for. He was kind and always did what was best for the family. And that is why it broke my herz to find out that he wasn’t coming back. At first I didn’t believe it and I didn’t want to. The only thing I wanted was my dad to come though the door and tell me everything is ok. Life went on without him days turned into months. Disbelief turned into betrayal and sorrow. If it wasn’t for my brother Jason I wouldn’t know what I’ll do.

A two years later my mom gave up hope of his return and married Robert T. Harry. That is a lot to put on a eight Jahr old Hey your father left and he doesn’t Liebe us anymore but don’t worry I am going to marry I guy I just...

I READ: because one life isn't enough, and in the pages of a
book I can be anybody;

Meaning that Bücher are an escape path. It doesn't matter if Du are the mousy girl that blends into the background. oder the boy who is never seen without a book. When Du read, Du become someone else, whether Du realize it oder not.

I READ: because the words that build the story become mine,
to build my life;

Meaning that Du learn when Du read. It doesn't, matter if the book is fantasy, oder realistic fiction, oder science fiction, you'll learn something from it. Take 'celerity' for an example. ten bucks says that no one knows what it means. Celerity is a synonym for rapidity, oder speed.

I READ: not for happy endings but for new beginnings; I'm just
beginning myself, and I wouldn't mind a map;

Exactly. some of the best Bücher have sad endings. Like Old Yeller, oder Where the Red farn Grows. Bittersweet endings. Without those types of books, there would be no variety. We would end up with happy endings everywhere, and life isn't like that. Sometimes a dose of reality is healthy.

In Israel, the lives of three women interweave with the story of their country. Ratiba, an Israeli journalist, turns her back on her heritage to marry an Israeli Arab. Her sister Orit, an actor, lives alone and longs for her Lost sister. Elisheva is a nurse who dedicates her life to the wounded and the dying. As their lives unfold, the three women find themselves facing choices they would never have envisioned.

This is a story of secrets and alienation, yet also of hope and heroism. It is about Arabs who save Jews from disaster and Jews who heal Arabs. It is the story of everyday people torn and desperately searching for the right path.

Here, the ancient pulsates in present time and the biblical holds prominence with the secular. Beneath this modern-day drama unfolds the story of a land and its people, revealing the historical trajectory of two peoples, victims and perpetrators of a biblical curse.

"War is not women's history," Virginia Woolf observed. But when confronted with it, members of that sex have summoned levels of courage and resourcefulness to rival those of any military commander. In A Train In Winter, Caroline Moorehead focuses on a group of women worthy of particular awe, both for the bravery they demonstrated and the brutality they endured.
The Titel refers to a vehicle that in January 1943 transported 230 women — all members of the French Resistance battling the German occupation of their country — to Nazi death camps. They ranged in age from 15 to 68, in occupation from scientists to housewives. Many had already Lost husbands, Liebhaber and other family members; Von the end of World War II, only 49 of the female prisoners themselves remained.
Moorehead, a biographer and journalist noted for her emphasis on human rights, traces the lives and deaths of all her subjects with unswerving candor and compassion. The book is divided into two parts; the first is drier, carefully tracing the individual backgrounds of the women (most of whom were not Jewish) and the circumstances that led them to risk so much. Committed communists and Gaullists and naïve...

Seth wasn’t trying to pretend things were all right.
“I don’t know what happened between Du two before tonight but I can probably guess…”
The look Keenan gave him confirmed Seth’s fears.
“Right. Here’s the thing. If she chooses to give Du Mehr than her friendship, it’ll suck for me. Probably how Du feel now.”
Keenan was motionless, but it was much the same way that caged lions became motionless – sizing Du up for weakness. For all their feigning humanity, faeries were something Other. Aislinn was Other, and the longer she was with them, the further away from mortal normalcy she would be.

He’s looking at me like – well, like he wants to look at me. Like he likes what he sees, and he’s smiling and his eyes are so blue, even in the faint glow of the porch light they shine, and I nod dumbly, blindly, then grope for the door handle, telling myself to look away and not yet able to do it.

My name is Meghan Chase.
I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who’s sworn to stand Von my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I’m not sure anyone can survive it.
This time, there will be no turning back.
The third book in the Iron Fey series provides the same non-stop action as its predecessors. The only thing is, this time around, the constant conflict started to wear on my nerves. I didn’t really start caring about this book until halfway through, when the major Narnia-esque conflict began. The first half just seemed like a way to kill time and unnecessarily impress the reader. But Von the third book in a series, we don’t need flashy new creatures oder foreboding prophecies to be impressed; we’re already invested in the characters, their world, and in this case, their fight against the false king. I didn’t think it was possible for Julie Kagawa to introduce even Mehr creatures, but she did, making it even...

If gegeben the opportunity, what sixteen-year-old wouldn’t jump at the chance to Bewegen in with a friend and live parent-free? Although maybe “opportunity” isn’t the right word, since April had to tell her dad a tiny little untruth to make it happen (see #1: “Lied to Our Parents”). But she and her housemate Vi are totally responsible and able to take care of themselves. How they ended up “Skipping School” (#3), “Throwing a Crazy Party” (#8), “Buying a Hot Tub” (#4), and, um, “Harboring a Fugitive” (#7) at all is kind of a mystery to them.
In this hilarious and bittersweet tale, Sarah Mlynowski mines the herz and mind of a girl on her own for the first time. To get through the year, April will have to juggle a Liebe triangle, learn to do her own laundry, and accept that he carefully constructed world just might be falling apart…one thing-she-shouldn’t-have-done at a time.
Ten Things We Did looks and sounds like a light-hearted, fun, easy read. It promises to appeal to Fans of authors like Susane Colasanti, Sarah Dessen, and Lauren Myracle. But Sarah Mlynowski doesn’t quite deliver on that promise. Ten Things is a light, fun read, but the...

My name—my True Name—is Ashallayn’darkmyr Tallyn.
I am the last remaining son of Mab, Queen of the Unseelie Court. And I am dead to her.
My fall began, as many stories do, with a girl…
The fourth book in the Iron Fey series is easily my Favorit and I’m sure I won’t be alone in thinking that. At the end of the third book, Meghan banished Ash from the Iron Realm, knowing he would stay Von her side despite how harmful living in the Iron Realm would be to his health. But before he left, Ash made an oath that he would find a way to be with her. The Iron Knight tells the story of Ash’s journey to find a soul — to become mortal and therefore immune to the effects on iron. Of course, he doesn’t embark on such a perilous mission alone; he has Grim and Puck, as well as a couple other surprising companions they meet along the way.
At first, I was a Fan of the Iron Fey series. But Von the third book, I read reluctantly and slowly, putting the book down for long stretches of time before returning to it. Meghan’s character began to wear on me, but at the same time, I needed an end to her and Ash’s story, so I happily reached for the fourth book....

ADORABLE. Days after finishing Destined, I can’t stop thinking about it. And every time I do, I get this warm, fuzzy feeling in my stomach. After a slew of contemporary and dystopian novels, Destined was exactly what I needed. This book retells the classic myth of Psyche and Eros, otherwise known as Cupid. It takes place in ancient Greece and while the story is set in the past, it’s gegeben a current spin. The dialogue, mannerisms, and ways of thinking all reflect the present. This gives Destined a unique, incredibly fun flair. It’s also hard to put down and easy to love.
