I wouldn't call myself an anime/manga enthusiast...but yes, I do read and watch a little. It's my dad's fault really, lol. He's the geek of the family. =P I used to hate anime, but now that I've gegeben it a chance to shine, I rather like some of it. The first Anime that warmed me up to the genre was Bleach. It was summer, I was bored, so I got addicted to it for a while. Looking back, I see parts of it were pretty weird/stupid, but I still have a soft spot in my herz for it. Plus, the characters are well-rounded and likable, and the battles are always exciting. ^__^ But the one anime/manga that totally converted me was Fullmetal Alchemist. FMA impressed me on so many levels, especially as an Anime newcomer. I fell in Liebe with it for the same reason I fall in Liebe with a good book...it told me a story. It took me on a journey and made me cry and laugh and care about the characters, something that no other Anime had done for me. It completely changed the way I looked at anime, and I've been hooked on FMA ever since. I don't have any money, so I can't buy the Manga volumes oder anything; but I watch the episodes and read it online. There's a new chapter every month, and I always look vorwärts-, nach vorn to it. Yep, that's right folks! A bookworm has fallen in Liebe with an anime/manga series! I'm proud to declare it, and I'd highly recommend it to EVERYONE, Anime haters and Liebhaber alike! The story is amazing, and the characters are so deep and vibrant and real.
