Night at the Museum this holiday season (although never say never when it comes to a popular film franchise).
Ben Stiller\'s night watchman \'Larry Daley\' is back on patrol when he learns that the extraordinary Museum of Natural History\'s magic that brings the exhibits to life is vanishing, so he sets off on an epic quest to the British Museum in London to save his friends and make some new ones.
Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb unites old favourites like Robin Williams as former President \'Teddy Roosevelt\', Mizuo Peck\'s Native American \'Sacagawea\', Owen Wilson\'s miniature Wild West cowboy \'Jedadiah\' and his Roman Commander friend \'Octavius\' (Steve Coogan), Patrick Callagher\'s \'Atilla the Hun\', Ricky Gervais as the Museum\'s president \'Dr. McPhee\' and of course Crystal the Monkey as \'Dexter\'.
The comedy sequel also introduces audiences to newcomers like Downton Abbey\'s Dan Stevens as \'Sir Lancelot\',
Rebel Wilson\'s British copper \'Tilly\' and Ben Kingsley\'s ancient Egyptian Pharaoh \'Merenkahre\'.
This jam-packed ensemble special extension billboard was snapped on a stormy December 4, 2014 along
Santa Monica Boulevard, and as a comparison, here\'s also a billboard for the first sequel,
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, snapped along Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood way back on April 29, 2009.
It looks like this assortment of historical figures will have quite the box office battle this
Christmas as the family feature faces the likes of WWII drama Unbroken, Disney\'s Into the Woods musical and controversial comedy, The Interview, to name but a few movies opening the same day.
Can the combined might of a pharaoh, caveman, policewoman, president, knight, cowboy, centurion and more stave off the competition to win big this holiday season.
At least let\'s hope it does better than
Ben Stiller\'s Tower Heist comedy, which also employed a similar character line up extension billboard, but bombed at the box office back in 2011.
