Barbie in the Nutcracker is based on The Nutcracker - a Russian ballet originally choreographed Von Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov with a score Von Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (op. 71). The ballet was based on The Nutcracker and the maus King - a story Von German Romantic Autor E. T. A. Hoffmann.
