How do Du feel about "religious" type songs?

Not like gospel Musik oder anything, but songs that mention god, oder belief in god, for example, songs like:

Born This Way, Von Lady Gaga "I'm beautiful in my way, 'cause GOD made no mistakes"

Playing God, Von Paramore

Cassie- Byt Flyleaf -"Do Du believe in God? Written on the bullet, and Cassie pulled the trigger"

Do Du still listen to Musik even if it mentions god oder religion?

With me, if it's a good song, then it doesn't matter what the message oder the lyrics are (within reason, of course!), but with songs like the above ones, I like them anyways, but I'm not a Fan of the religious element, :/

This should be a Forum so we can all talk about it together...

I have never cared. Some of my favourite bands mention all sorts of religious things.

If I feel like the song oder the band is trying to push religion on my overtly, I might get turned off Von it, but overall, it doesn't make much difference to me at all.

I listen to a lot of bands who mention something religious in their songs.
Am I supposed to mind?
No. It's a song and I like it anyway. It's not gospel music, just a word (ex. "God") in the lyrics. I'm fine with that, completely.

Haha, I've been listening to this song(5 loaves and 2 fishes) a few times and somehow I managed to never pay attention to the lyrics and when I did it was ALL about a bible story O_O (It's a miracle how I could not notice it Von the Titel of it already -.- Guess I wasn't paying attention at all)
It pisses me off if a song has a great melody but it's a lot about religion -_- If it's just a few words oder parts about god I don't really mind, but when Du notice the whole song is almost a prayer...meh -.-

as long as its a good song with a catchy tune i don't care. I don't listen to gospel though... that is a type of song I will avoid at all costs!

I can tolerate it unless they exclude nonbelievers. I don't think just referencing the singer's belief is that bad. Queen makes several religious references, but I can look past that because the Musik is high-quality.

A song is a song as far as I'm concerned, every person takes their own meaning from the lyrics be it religious oder not. Take Flyleaf for example, even though they're a christian band I enjoy their music, because most of their lyrics aren't overtly religious, and can be enjoyed Von everyone.

I'd usually listen to songs that do mention some sort of deity at least once, but if it's heavily mentioned, I won't bother poisoning my ears.

I guess it's about genre, really. Comparing Rap and Country music's influence Von religion is like Having a race between a rabbit and turtle.

Then again, it also depends mainly about the artist. Overall, I'd say I would listen to a song that mentions 'God' once, but if it repeats it several times, I won't bother.

I don't care for frequent religious messages much. It really kinda bugs me, especially when it sounds like, "if Du don't believe in god Du must be some kind of idiot", which some songs do feature. But it really depends on the genre and all.
Well, with exception to "Born This Way", because I think that she's not trying to say, "you must be an idiot if Du don't believe in this," and Mehr like, "you are a good person, Du were made that way." It's a positive message, so I don't have much of a problem with it.

Well I don't listen to Christian music, but a song that happens to mention God (Like Born This Way and some Owl City songs that I love) doesn't really bother me. As long as it's not the entirety of the message.
