This Zeigen has had amazing success as a series, and it continues, even after four seasons, to gain momentum. I think that they should stick with what they are doing best, and that is the 45 Minute weekly time slot.

Obviously they all ready have issues with Schreiben and continuity, and these things will continue to haunt into series 5. Time and money should be focused on the series right now, and IMO if the Zeigen continues its success they should focus the new energy on a 6th series. Use the energy and money to bring back an incredibly talented main cast, and invest in great writers and directors who can use the talent they are given.

They always talk about Supernatural being a model, and look at how many seasons they ran for. There was no movie. There is so much potential, I would Liebe to continue to watch it bloom once a week. Stay focused and give us a quality program that continues to share a great version of an epic legend.

Truthfully? I think it is a fucking potential disaster in the making, if the current shitty production values, horrendous writing, lack of continuity and character depth is projected into the project. No matter how talented, Colin, Bradley and Angel, the actual core set of organic genius in this roster are, they will NOT be able to bring off a proper story, if all the above is not addressed. Secondarily, my greatest fear is in order to put sagte in order, the season will be shortened to facilitate this. Just my thoughts. Equally, will it be in effect a 2 hr ultimate finale, meaning the movie? I am having my suspicions. Now, the flip side. If they address the writing, the production, the proper indepth story arc, they could have a winner, but they would need to reach out beyond their existing niche to do so successfully and give this talented crew, and I do mean all the actors not just the OT3 something to work with. Work on those back stories. Actually work with the legends of themselves, the distilled version of it and make an epic tale. I don't know if there is a will to do so. A niche program does not always translate into great genre, unless it has committment. They most certainly have the talent roster and the cinematography down and the energy, but very, very little else.

I agree 100% with Stacey.

In general, Filme based from TV shows are total crap: save your money, Shine, and put it towards improving the SHOW. Du know, put it towards things like editing and continuity.

I also agree 100%. I would rather see Merlin continue as a series. With whatever improvements may be needed, this series can last for years to come. The movie industry is rough to survive. Very short term. Du can watch a movie that has a high rating one week and then fall into the abyss the next. Instant gratification washes out fast. Dr. Who is also an excellent example of a very successful long time series. SERIES YES, MOVIE NO.
