Arthur und Gwen Frage

3x06 "The Changeling" is the episode that most tore my herz out watching! Brad and Angel – Jäger der Finsternis during the wedding scene: superb performances! Look at it with me again(from 5:45 to 9:58 on this video)and help me work through a few questions.

Q1: Elena followed Arthur's eyes and looked over towards where Gwen was early in the ceremony. Did Du see that she looked over there again right before Arthur stopped the ceremony? Do Du think she figured out the real reason why Arthur couldn't do it and that she knew it was Gwen? (Maybe she wasn't sure if it was Morgana.)

Q2: What do Du make of the way that Morgana looked at Gwen when Arthur stopped the ceremony?

Q3. To be honest, Merlin disturbed me in this episode. I think I'm right that he never mentioned Arthur's feelings for Gwen the entire episode. He was focused on getting rid of the fairy from Elena, but seemed unconcerned about Gwen. I think this was a glaring Schreiben error. What do Du think?

Destinies are troublesome things...No, Merlin did exactly right. Before I go further, beautiful edit. So getting a prop, my lady. I believe the position of both Gwen and Morgana at the ceremony and his repeated looks in that direction sagte it all. As to Morgana's look, please the woman is duplicity personified.

Arthur und Gwen Antwort

Brad and Angel – Jäger der Finsternis should be commended for that performance. Their excellent at portraying AG angst without and words.
Ooh, what mind-boggling questions, Nanna! Get me thinking...well here goes...

Q1: The first time I watched "Changeling" I did not catch Elena's eyes travel to that point- especially since Arthur had glanced there just before. Personally, I think Elena may have picked up a hint about Gwen, but I think she thought that he was speaking generally. I don't think she thought it to be Morgana, at any rate. She may have figured it out- now that I look back at the video. Of course, there was no note that she saw Gwen, oder maybe she thought he was staring out there in nervousness. No, now looking back, I think she may have seen the exchange between Arthur and Gwen. Ugh. This answer really makes no sense. Me fighting with me.

Q2: Morgana's look got to me, because after watching this episode for the first time...I was like..."Hm...whatever could that have meant?" Now, that Du are forcing me to answer, I think Morgana was merely looking at Gwen because her "official suspicions" of Arthur/Gwen were confirmed. Morgana's not stupid- from the signs before that she saw to him stopping the ceremony- she knew it was all aligned and true. Du could argue that she knew beforehand when she questioned Gwen, but I think she was only pretty sure. This, reminded her of her certainty of such a prospect, so she turns to Gwen because they both know why he refuses to marry Elena.

Q3: Merlin has had several flaws (season 1) in its writing, but this was not one, I think. I think, perhaps, the writers wanted Merlin to temporarily forget about Arthur/Gwen because he is hell-bent on coaxing the sidhe out of Elena. As a result, he apparantly forgets completely about what Gwen must be going through. Which does not make sense, because Merlin has often shown that he will always be there for Gwen. Major glitch there, I would have thought. I remember when he is giving Arthur his ceremonial sword and he says something like "I think you're all mad. People should marry for love, not gain." I figured that they brought back Merlin's fiery belief in Arwen back and he basically is the one who ends up instigating Arthur to officially cut the ceremony short. So after that, I realized that there really was no glitch. Merlin, after all, came to Gwen's real rescue. He saved her from suffering Arthur's marriage.

Well, there Du go :) Hope I didn't sound like I was just blah-blah-ing.

Issie! Not blah-blahing at all! I don't know how much room I have here but Du and Stacey both helpmed me feelo better about Merlin. About Elena, I never thought too much about it until recently I noticed she looked over there again, right before he stopped it. On Morgana I guess that was a smirk Mehr than a smile. At first I thought she was pleased about it, but what Du sagte she may have been smirking that what she thought was right. Sure she wasn't happy for Gwen.
