Angelus was the only one who didnt suck up to the master , he made me laugh in the flash backs!

You can definitely tell that the Master had respect for Angelus. He says "Angel! He was the most vicious creature I ever met. I miss him." and also "But to lose her to Angel! He was to have sat at my right hand, come the day."

if you saw the episode "darla" in angel season 2 you would see the respect he had when angelous wasnt affraid of him and insulted him , he couldnt believe his eyes

That's true actually, he probably did hate Angel. But he certainly respected Angelus, as is shown by the quotes from season 1 of Buffy that have already been posted, and from the flashbacks in Angel it is obvious that he is threatened by Angelus, who not only mocks and insults him (that was so funny!), but supersedes the Master's position in Darla's eyes. The Master, the alpha male of his order, is shocked to discover that Angelus won't bow down to him or respect him as the others, even Darla, will and, while this angers him, the fact that he is threatened by Angelus shows that he respects him.
