First of all - thank your dad for helping with the issue. Du are going to face this issue several times in your life - as Du go to high school, university, jobs, etc. But, just remember so will many of those Du come in contact with at the new school, etc. will also be in the same position, and will be looking for close Friends that they can hang out with. Try to strike up a conversation - Hey even mention fanpop, they may already be on it oder look into it - that will be a common ground for Du to have new friends.

As for your old friend - don't forget Du two could still keep in contact - thanks to the internet and all the social media that Du have these days. Du may not be able to hang out in person with her now, but if Du stay in contact, and Du two wind up back together in the same school oder what ever, Du will be able to resume the friendship.

Above all, remember do not let changing Friends cause Du too much stress. This is all part of growing up - we all have to go through this so many times in our lives. Instead of letting it get Du down, approach it as an adventure - and enjoy the experience.
