The start of 2010 was quite a rocky one. On the afternoon of New Year's Day, my mother became weak while she was in the bathroom. This alarmed my father, and we took her to the hospital right away. When we got there, she had to be placed in a wheelchair. It turns out that her hemoglobin levels were very low as a result of heavy menstrual periods. Her doctor told her that it has fatal consequences and that an emergency operation is her only hope for survival, to which she had no choice but to agree on. My father was then told that she needed to be confined for several days, oder maybe even weeks. Because of this, I got very sad and thought, "How could this be? What if my mother doesn't make it, and what will become of me and my sister if something terrible happens?" This also affected our scheduled Hong Kong trip for this month. My father comforted me during this period and told me, "Don't worry, Willow. I'm sure your mother is going to be all right." He also gave me lots of hugs and kisses. Eventually, the operation was successful and my mother slowly regained her energy. She had to rest some Mehr for a while in her hospital room before she can be discharged, though. When our nanny came back from her Weihnachten vacation in Bicol, my father decided to fetch her from the bus terminal and take me and my sister back to our Los Baños house, as he had to resume his work. As the days passed, he called to inform us that my mother is in high spirits again, and that she can leave the hospital on Saturday. We met each other again in our condominium unit in Bonifacio Global City. I ran into her arms and said, "Oh, mother, I'm so glad you're okay! I missed Du very much." She replied while embracing me tightly, "I missed you, too, Willow! It's so nice to be back here." She also bought a Welcome Home gift basket that included a blue teddy bär and a bouquet of flowers. Because her surgical scar needed time to fully heal, she had to apply for a leave from her work, which lasted until October. We also had to reschedule our Hong Kong trip to August. As the months passed, it turns out that this Jahr was even better than the last one. We had Mehr trips, both international and local, including our very first one in Europe when we visited Switzerland in April. In these trips, we had plenty of funny and memorable experiences. We also started staying in our condominium unit Mehr often. When we visited Vietnam as part of my father's business trip, I got the surprise of my life when a storekeeper ran after me and my mother and shook my hand vigorously and touched my cheeks with delight. This made me speechless, and my mother told me, "Wow, Willow. It looks like you're a celebrity here!" I felt flattered Von this Kommentar and blushed. Another time, we were eating at a Essen court and there was this group of girls who wouldn't stop gazing at me. Suddenly, they approached my mother and asked her if they could have a Foto with me. She agreed on this, and I felt flattered once again afterwards. All in all, this was an amazing Jahr for me in the end.

This is an Artikel for my special friend, 80smusiclover1 (Kelly). This was a request specifically from her, so here it is.
Du are a wonderful friend, and I am glad that we met. From the time we met, Du have accepted me for who I am. Du never judged me for any of my quirks. Du have always been very kind. You've always shown concern for me and for my friends. If that's not what friendship is all about, then what is it about? I think Du are a great example of what a friend should be. I count myself fortunate to have Du as my friend. I know that sometimes the clouds get dark, but there is always a silver lining somewhere. If Du cannot see it, I'll be there to point it out to you. Du will never be alone. I am here for you, no matter what. You've always been here for me. Thank Du for being here, and thank Du for being you.
