Episode 4
The Run To The Castle
While Thomas was at the works being mended, Mehr engines were needed to pull passengers. Some passengers even had to ride the narrow gauge line to get to where they were going.
One day, Makenzie was at the station, where both narrow gauge, and Sir Tophamm Hatt's engines worked. One side was for the narrow gauge engines, and the other side was for Sir Tophamm Hatt's engines. Makenzie was getting coal, and water while Duncan was delivering her coaches to the station.
"I shouldn't have to be doing this!" Duncan shouted rudely. He got the coaches to the station, and steamed off. Just then, James puffed in with passengers.
"Anyone going to Ulfstead schloss will have to ride the narrow gauge line." sagte James kindly. The passengers walked toward Makenzie's train, and Makenzie backed up to the coaches.
"I've never seen Du here before." James said. "Are Du new here?"
"Yes, I am." Makenzie said.
James thought she was beautiful. "Well, good luck on your first trip." James said, and he left the station.
Makenzie's passengers were on board, and the conductor blew his whistle. Makenzie blew her whistle, and was about to take off, but her wheels slipped as she tried to pull the train. "I think this is too heavy." She said, and tried again.
She puffed very hard, but Makenzie had a hard time moving the heavy train. "Don't give up." sagte her driver, and with one final effort, Makenzie got the train moving. "I did it." She announced. "Well done girl." Makenzie's driver said.
They left the station, and were going along nicely. Along the way to Ulfstead Castle, Skarloey chuffed Weiter to Makenzie. "Hello Makenzie." sagte Skarloey happily. "Where are Du heading?"
"I'm heading to Ulfstead Castle" Makenzie replied. "Where are Du going?" Skarloey told her, that he was going to the Blue Mountain Quarry. "My load may be heavy." he said. "My load is heavy." Makenzie exclaimed, and giggled.
"Well, then good luck." Skarloey told her. After their conversation ended, Skarloey stopped at a red signal. Then, Makenzie was nearing the hügel to Ulfstead Castle. Her heavy passenger train made Makenzie's wheels slip again, but the train still moved.
"You're doing good," sagte her driver, "Just a little bit faster, and we'll reach the oben, nach oben in no time." Makenzie did puff faster, but that made her wheels slip fiercly, and then the train didn't Bewegen at all. "Oh no," Makenzie cried, "I'm stuck." She put on her brakes, and waited for help.
Donald, and Douglas puffed Weiter to her with a heavy load of stone. "Cinders, and ashes. Are Du stuck?" Donald asked. "I am. Can Du please help me?" Makenzie asked sweetly.
But Donald, and Douglas couldn't Bewegen their train, and Makenzie's at the same time. "We'll come back after we deliver the stone." Douglas said. Then the two scottish twins got to the oben, nach oben of the hügel with their train.
The passengers were anxious, and a little cross. "I can't keep the passengers waiting." Makenzie said. "I'll puff with all my might, and get the train to the top." So Makenzie slowly pulled the train up the hill. Her wheels weren't slipping this time. Soon, she reached the oben, nach oben of the hill, and stopped at the station near Ulfstead Castle. Millie was there to give the passengers a tour.
"Merci Makenzie." Millie said.
"You're welcome" Makenzie replied.
Makenzie still pulls passengers, but her trains are shorter, and much easier to pull.

The last museum for our tour is the Historical Museum of Vevey. This museum showcases the history of the city and its surrounding areas. It also has a mission to preserve its cultural heritage. The exhibits here feature Vaud and Swiss furniture, handicrafts, old weapons, medal collections, manuscripts, engravings and paintings of minor Swiss masters. There is also a room showcasing a local event known as "The Feast of the Brotherhood of Winegrowers", which takes place about every twenty years and whose purpose is to protect the interest of vineyards and vine growers. All in all, it was a very interesting museum and we enjoyed it.
The Weiter museum we went to was the Swiss Camera Museum, which is located in Vevey, too. In this museum, there are exhibits showcasing the history of Fotografie and film. It even displays some vintage cameras. We also watched a hilarious short film in the theater before leaving. In the following day, we visited the Swiss Museum of Games. This museum is just a short walk away from our hotel, and what makes it unique is that it's housed in a castle. Inside the museum were exhibits of classic games, from marbles to chess, as well as retro and modern video games. Our visits to both museums were splendid and we had a very lovely time.
Today is the start of our museum tour. We went out a little earlier than usual so we could have Mehr time. The first museum that we visited was the Alimentarium Essen Museum in Vevey. Before going there, we decided to check out the Nestle headquarters and shop. Afterwards, we started our walk to the museum. It was a little far, though. But we didn't mind as we also wanted to walk Von the lakeside. When we reached the museum vicinity, we posed for pictures with the Charlie Chaplin statue and a suspended giant fork. The museum itself showcases the history of Essen and there are lots of interactive exhibits. There is also a cafe in the ground floor. An audio guide is recommended to make the most of your visit, so I got one for free at the ticket booth. In the end, it was another educational and enjoyable experience for us.
The first historical place that we visited is the Chillon Castle, oder the "Château de Chillon", as it is locally called. I was excited for this, as I will be going inside a schloss for the very first time. I've always been fascinated Von them. My father also took a break from his work so he can visit the schloss with us. We got a discount for our tickets after Wird angezeigt our visitor card. The schloss was built on a small rocky island in the lake. We explored the dungeon, the dining room, the armory, and the courtyard. There is even an ancient bathroom where the toilets are simply large holes! Overall, it was a fun and educational experience and we enjoyed our visit there. Before going back to the hotel, we ate a hearty abendessen at a chinese restaurant called Beijing Town in Montreux.
After studying the mini booklet the past night, my mother and I decided to ride the tram bus going back to Vevey. We showed the visitor card to the driver, who then allowed us to take our seats. It was a relaxing ride. When we arrived, we went to a small shopping center to eat lunch. We also explored the department store and supermarket, where we bought some take-out food, Schokolade bars, and juice. After the mall closed for the day, we went around the neighborhood for a couple of hours before going back to the hotel. My father returned from his work and asked how our Tag was. We told him that we had lots of fun together, to which he responded, "I am very happy to know that Du are enjoying the place." Soon, it was time to go to bed. Before I slept, my mother told me that we will be visiting Montreux tomorrow.

Today is the start of our first trip to Switzerland and our very first trip to the continent of Europe. Everything is all set. We have our passports with the visas ready, our hotel has been booked, and we have arranged for a car service to take us to the airport. I was very excited for this trip. Our flight path includes a stopover in Singapore, since there are no direct flights going to Switzerland from the Philippines. The airline that we rode is Singapore Airlines. When we touched down in Singapore, we had to stay there overnight as the flight going to Zurich is on the Weiter day. We stayed in a cheap, low quality hotel called Grand Chancellor, which is located in the Little India district. After checking in, we ate abendessen outside and did some shopping in a nearby mall. We got ready to sleep right away once we got back to our room, as we had to wake up early for the flight tomorrow...
