Fox has announced two new actors will be helping (or hindering) the fight against terrorism on the new season of 24. Jeffrey Nordling (Once and Again, Dirt) (according to the Hollywood Reporter) will play an FBI Agent named "Larry." The actor will continue to appear on FX's Dirt in a recurring role.

The other casting announcement was a bit more cryptic. John Billingsley joins the cast as a man named "Latham," but FOX is not revealing any details. Billingsley, a prolific character actor, recently recieved praise for his role on ABC's The Nine and played Dr. Phlox on Star Trek: Enterprise for five seasons.

While FOX has been tight lipped about the new season, it is known that CTU (Counter Terrorism Unit) will be disbanded, opening up a lot of possibility for new characters and stories that have not been seen so far on the series. Other new cast members include Cherry Jones, Janeane Garofalo, and Colm Feore.

24 returns to FOX in January.
